Overview

On June 12, 2009 the DTV Transition deadline, mandated by congress, all full–powered TV stations in the U.S. stopped broadcasting in analog and began broadcasting only in digital. The DTV Transition affected those who watch free over-the-air television (through a rooftop antenna or “rabbit ears”).  Pintech received a contract from the FCC to establish a way of relaying accurate information and assistance throughout the transition period.

The DTV contract from the FCC was accomplished with in house researchers, a dedicated team of knowledgeable technicians, and management that knew the importance of balancing politically sensitive material with the importance of effectively presenting a neutral message to the public.  Management sought out important information from industry experts to integrate with company research in determining the most accurate information to release.
