Mobile Help Centers

Pintech Corporation, under contract by the FCC, sent two teams out to the State of West Virginia in the summer of 2009, assisting in the Digital Transition by providing Mobile Help Centers.  These Mobile Help Centers were operated at festivals, libraries, senior centers and housing authorities throughout the state.  They provided places for the public to come and ask questions that offered informational materials and guidance on the switch.

The successful assistance effort brought extra knowledge and cleared up confusion among the public, especially the elderly citizens.  The goal of the project was to successfully reach the elderly, disabled and low-income citizens.  Pintech Corporation effectively researched and scheduled events in areas of most need and in places where this targeted audience had easy access to the mobile help.
